Friday!

How's that for pushing the boundaries of creativity for a title?

This morning I woke up, strolled into the kitchen and noticed some pink in the sky outside my window.  As noted over and over occasionally here this week, it has been gray and rainy, so it's understandable that I was curious about this sight.  I decided to go outside to check it out.  It's an embarrassing but important detail that I was so eager that I put on my fleece jacket and sweatpants over my fleece robe, which certainly made for a homely sight as I walked around the neighborhood in that get-up.

The lengths we go to to see a good sunrise, right?

In other noteworthy news, I ran to the ATM today to deposit some checks and learned that my bank now has envelope-free deposits.  You just shove the checks into the machine, and the machine scans the checks, tells you how much they're for, and calculates the total.  I may be the last person in the world to know this, but I found myself saying things like "WOW!" and "Holy cow!" in the bank entryway.  It utterly blew my mind.

This weekend: a longish run (a half-marathon is looming large in the near future and I should at least somewhat try to prepare), my cousin's wedding and some more holiday preparation.  We leave for Colorado in six days!

Bonus fun fact: My sister is finishing college tomorrow!  I am endlessly proud of her.

What's on tap for your weekend?
