Day trip

Today Josh and I spent the afternoon with my grandma: lunch at one of the restaurants in town, followed by dessert at her house. Our visit today kicks off a stretch during which I get to see her three more times in the next month or so!

We had a great visit and then meandered back to the Twin Cities. Along the way, we stopped at a state park in hopes of a hike.

The trail on which we ended up was beautiful:

But the horse and deer flies were not so lovely, and we skedaddled out of there, back toward home, where errands, a CSA box, and a strawberry-loving, firecracker-hating dog were waiting for us.
