I haven't taken a good block of time yet to delve into the details of the user's manual, but it's going to happen this weekend. So far, the main feature that has drawn me in is the zoooooom, which one can access right away with the basic auto functions.
The camera I had been using was several years old, and the zoom function on my other camera - my phone - gets all pixelated and grainy when I get too crazy with it, so even though I had done some research, I don't think I was fully prepared for the strides that basic point and shoot cameras have made recently. Tonight I took a stroll to practice using it and zoomed my way around the neighborhood, so to speak. Actual photographers reading this post, please forgive the following photos. (I can almost hear Josh saying, "You took a picture of the grass?")
And then I came home and found, well, my favorite zoom subject of all!
I know very few of us who are so excited with a zoom of grass at 5:30 am!! Also, I don't believe there is a more handsome grand-dog in the whole universe. My fix of the day!:)
